I Suppose That’s One Way to Declutter…

A man who decided to sell his entire life online - including his house full of all his stuff, a trial period at his job, and introductions to his friends - said yesterday that he sold it all for $399,300 AUD (approximately $387,467 CAD or $384,965 USD).
Ian Usher of ALife4Sale.com sold his life on eBay yesterday. He was originally selling it through his website, but he didn’t have a system in place to prevent fake bids so he switched to eBay to keep it legitimate (though as always with high-popularity eBay auctions, some fake bids crept in, so who knows if he’ll actually see the money, or if he’ll have to sell his life all over again).
You can check out the finished auction here on eBay to see all the goodies that Ian included in his “life for sale”. All that stuff is worth way more than nearly $400,000! The house alone was valued at $420,000, according to Usher early in the sale.
Found through: The Telegraph.
I suppose that’s one way to declutter your entire life! All your stuff, all your job worries, all your physical and mental clutter gone in one fell swoop!
It’s highly radical, though, and I would not personally recommend it. I can imagine the complete sense of freedom, but I can also see a complete new set of worries - and stuff.
I wish Ian all the best with his new life, but you won’t ever catch me doing that!
